SAIT Sonography Workshop

Vascular Sonography Workshop 

This comprehensive workshop offered by the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and PHILIPS Canada combining lecture and lab is designed for Sonographers, Radiologists and Residents who are interested in refreshing, learning or improving their Doppler skills.

Lectures are focused on:

  • Doppler physics and optimization
  • Pathophysiology of the carotid, vertebral and subclavian arteries
  • Upper and lower extremity veins
  • Vasculature of the liver

Participants will be provided with the opportunity to practice hands-on scanning of live models with and without pathology in a lab setting with a low “student to patient” ratio.

Admission Requirements

All Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Sonographers with all level of experience are welcome.
  • All participants must be registered with Sonography Canada or ARDMS or registry eligible.

Date and Location

The three day workshop will be held at SAIT’s main campus in Calgary, Alberta on the following dates:

Friday, October 20, 2017        6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Saturday, October 21, 2017    7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Sunday, October 22, 2017      7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Participants must attend all of the above dates.

Financial Matters

Tuition Fee $575

CME/CPD Credits

Participants are eligible to receive 13 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
