Professional Teaching Fellow
The Department of Anatomy and Medical Imaging is one of eight departments in the School of Medical Sciences within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (FMHS) at the University of Auckland. It is recognised locally and internationally for anatomy and medical imaging education and research, in particular in neuroscience, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal systems. The Department has state of the art anatomical dissection, processing, plastination, and medical imaging facilities, and fully integrates physical examination and medical imaging into a variety of teaching and research programmes. The Department offers the only postgraduate programmes in medical imaging technology in New Zealand. We are seeking to appoint motivated and enthusiastic Professional Teaching Fellows to teach all areas of ultrasound discipline and to significantly contribute to the Department’s academic programmes in Medical Imaging.
The successful candidate will:
- hold a post-graduate qualification in clinical ultrasound imaging recognised by the Medical Radiation Technologists Board
- have a current or be eligible for New Zealand clinical Annual Practising Certificate
- preferably have previous or current teaching experience.
This is a fixed term academic position with a part time FTE.
