Ontario to Regulate Sonographers

The Ontario government has announced plans to implement the regulation of diagnostic medical sonography on January 1, 2018. Sonography Canada, as a key member of the Sonography Implementation Group that advised the government on regulation, fully supports this important self-regulation initiative for the profession. Proposed regulations have been posted for public comment on the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMTRO) website and you are encouraged to provide feedback.
