Conference Information for our One Day Basic Course: 
Ultrasound Assessment of the Fetal Heart: What You Should Know 
Saturday October 14, 2017 (Toronto) 
or Saturday, December 2, 2017 (Ottawa)


This course will review the assessment of situs, imaging of the cardiac four chambers, the ventricular outflow tracts and the great arteries, the application and optimization of different ultrasound imaging modalities, and the evaluation of the fetal heart rhythm and function. The course includes formal lectures, interactive cases and live imaging demonstrations.

Target Audience 

The Fetal Cardiac Outreach Program provides ongoing education to medical professionals and trainees who perform, or interpret, fetal cardiac assessments and who are involved in fetal cardiac screening. This includes sonographers, cardiologists, obstetricians, radiologists, maternal fetal medicine specialists and midwives.


This program has been assessed by Sonography Canada and is eligible for 7.5 credits for both Sonography Canada and ARDMS purposes.

This is a one day course from 7 a.m. till 5 p.m. in our Daniels Hollywood Theatre at The Hospital for Sick Children. There will be a healthy light registration breakfast, coffee breaks (lunch break will be on your own).
